Four KU players make all-Big 12 volleyball team

The Kansas volleyball team had four players selected all-Big 12, including setter of the year Erin McNorton, and Ray Bechard won coach of the year for the second straight time.

The Kansas volleyball team had four players selected all-Big 12, including setter of the year Erin McNorton, and Ray Bechard won coach of the year for the second straight time.

Two Kansas State players won Big 12 awards: Senior middle blocker Kaitlynn Pelger, formerly of Olathe South, made the all-Big 12 first team and Katie Brand was chosen to the all-freshman team.

The Jayhawks’ other first-team selections were senior middle blocker Caroline Jarmoc and junior outside hitters Sara McClinton and Chelsea Albers. Tayler Soucie made the all-freshman team.

KU plays Wichita State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at Allen Fieldhouse.
