Paolo Scoppola scored in the 21st minute and that was all Rockhurst needed to upset No. 1 Lindenwood 1-0 in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals Sunday on the Hawks’ Bourke Field.

Rockhurst, ranked 14th and 17-3-3, advances to the national semifinals Dec. 5 against Southern New Hampshire. The national semis and championship will be played in Evans, Ga.

Scoppola’s goal was set up by a throw-in from defender Oussie Gueye. Ryan Bass earned the shutout for the Hawks, making three saves.

No. 4 Missouri is one win away from a perfect regular season after a 25-15, 25-20, 25-16 sweep Sunday at No. 16 Kentucky.

The SEC champion Tigers, 33-0 overall and 17-0 in the conference were led by 17 kills from senior Lisa Henning and 15 from freshman Carly Kan. Missouri’s final regular-season match is Wednesday against Arkansas at the Hearnes Center.
