Former Oregon coach Ernie Kent has joined the Kansas City-based National Association of Basketball Coaches as associate executive director.

Kent coached the Ducks to five NCAA Tournaments and Elite Eight appearances in 2002 and 2007. He had been serving as vice-president for Fishbait Marketing and as a commentator on the Pac-12 Network.

“He’ll be a great asset for the NABC with is passion for coaching, student-athlete welfare and the good of the game,” said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney.
