Kansas football coach Charlie Weis has added to his growing list of commitments from the Kansas City area, landing a verbal commitment this week from Grandview offensive lineman Apa Visinia.

The commitment came on Wednesday, during Visinia’s unofficial visit to campus. And Visinia, a 6-foot-4, 375-pound lineman, becomes the fourth player from the Kansas City area and the sixth overall commitment in the 2014 class.

The Jayhawks were the first school to offer Visinia a scholarship, although a handful of other schools had begun to take notice.

Here’s a look at the Jayhawks’ 2014 class so far, according to Rivals.com: Traevohn Wrench (RB, Gardner Edgerton High School); Kyron Watson (LB, East St. Louis, Ill.); Joe Dineen (Safety, Lawrence Free State); Jacob Bragg (OL, Nacogdoches, Texas); Andre Maloney (CB, Shawnee Mission West); Apa Visinia (OL, Grandview)
