East St. Louis safety commits to Missouri football team

Missouri's football team reeled in its fourth commitment for the Class of 2014 this week, as East St. Louis safety Greg Taylor gave a verbal pledge to the Tigers on Thursday.

Missouri's football team reeled in its fourth commitment for the Class of 2014 this week, as East St. Louis safety Greg Taylor gave a verbal pledge to the Tigers on Thursday.

Taylor is listed at 5 feet 11 and 180 pounds by Rivals, which has given him a three-star rating. The site says Missouri also has an offer out to Taylor’s East St. Louis teammate, three-star linebacker Kyron Watson, who also has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Purdue, Syracuse and Texas Christian.

Taylor joins Blue Springs South tight end Kendall Blanton, Columbia Hickman athlete Grant Jones and Springfield Hillcrest receiver Darnell Green-Beckham as verbal commitments to the Tigers.
