Collin Klein honored in Topeka

Former K-State quarterback Collin Klein was honored in Topeka on Wednesday at the state capitol.

Klein was a guest of State Sens. Garrett Love and Tom Hawk and was recognized by the senate, house and governor’s office for his outstanding career. Klein was the Big 12 offensive player of the year and a Heisman Trophy finalist after leading the Wildcats to the Big 12 championship. He finished with a 22-6 record as K-State's starting quarterback. Klein ran for 920 yards and 23 touchdowns and threw for 2,641 yards and 16 touchdowns his senior season as the Wildcats obtained their first-ever No. 1 ranking in the BCS standings following their win at TCU.
