UMKC's Tyler wins Summit weekly award

UMKC ended a nine-game losing streak on Saturday and picked up an honor in the process.
Point guard Estan Tyler was named Summit League player of the week after scoring 25 points in the Kangaroos’ 90-86 victory at South Dakota.
Tyler becomes the first UMKC player to pick up the weekly honor since 2010.
Tyler didn’t start the game and scored his career-best 25 points in 28 minutes on 10 of 13 shooting. He added five assists.
The Kangaroos, 5-13 overall and 2-4 in the Summit, stay on the road with game this week at Oakland on Thursday and IPFW on Saturday.
