LAWRENCE — For the second time in three days, Kansas coach Charlie Weis has landed a top junior college recruit.
Marcus Jenkins-Moore, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound outside linebacker from Pierce Community College (Calif.), verbally committed to KU on Thursday, according to his Twitter account.
Jenkins-Moore had offers from more than a dozen major schools, according to Rivals.com. The list included Arkansas, Texas A and Arizona. But he hinted in early August that his decision would come down to three schools — Arizona State, Kansas State and Kansas. (Watch hishighlights here.
A native of Louisville, Ky., Jenkins-Moore visited Kansas last weekend, along with Pierce teammate Marquel Combs, a defensive tackle.
Jenkins-Moore’s commitment comes just two days afterKU picked up a commitment from Andrew Bolton
, a defensive end from Hinds Community College in Mississippi.
