Missouri released its nonconference basketball schedule Wednesday, completing the Tigers’ 2012-13 slate.

Two games — a Dec. 28 road test at UCLA and a Dec. 22 annual Braggin’ Rights showdown against rival Illinois at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis — highlight the nonconference schedule. The Tigers’ schedule does not include a game at the Sprint Center, marking the first time Mizzou will not play in Kansas City since the 2008-09 season.

The game against UCLA will mark the beginning of a home-and-home series that will see the Bruins make a return to Mizzou Arena in the near future. Missouri will also participate in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament Nov. 22-24 in the Bahamas along with Duke, Stanford, Louisville, Memphis and Minnesota.

“This schedule will have some big time opportunities, including starting a home-and-home series with UCLA,” MU coach Frank Haith said in a statement. “There is no question that the Battle 4 Atlantis will be a big challenge for us, especially as we work in a number of new players early in the season.”

Missouri, which will play 19 home games, opens its season Oct. 29 with a home exhibition against Northwest Missouri State. Missouri’s first regular-season game is Nov. 10 against Alcorn State at Mizzou Arena.
