MU starting safety has knee surgery, out 7-10 days

Webb, a 6-foot, 210-pound Gilmer, Texas, native, is listed at the top of Missouri's preseason depth chart at free safety. In 11 games last year, including four starts, he finished with 36 tackles and a fumble recovery. He missed two games last season with a meniscus tear in his right knee.
In Webb's spot with the first-team defense Friday morning was juniorMatt White, who made 47 tackles and had four pass breakups in 13 games last year (including five starts).
