Doyle, a 6-foot-4 guard from Marshall High School in Chicago, committed to Florida International but reopened his recruitment after coach Isiah Thomas was fired in April. Doyle visited KU in May.
Anrio Adams, a 6-foot-3 guard from Seattle, is also expected to play for the Jayhawks this fall once all the academic and paperwork hurdles are cleared.
When asked about Adams during a Big 12 coaches teleconference Thursday, KU coach Bill Self was limited in his comments, saying nothing was official yet. NCAA rules prohibit coaches from talking specifically about recruits before the official paperwork is processed.
"He's gotta finish a couple things,” Self said of Adams, “before anything can really happen."
