Each Big 12 school will receive a $19 million check in conference distributed revenue, the league announced Friday at the conclusion of its annual spring meeting.
West Virginia and TCU, which officially join the league on July 1, aren’t part of the windfall. But the Mountaineers will receive $10 million from the conference to help defray costs of leaving the Big East.
The revenue comes from several sources, primarily media contracts, bowl and NCAA Tournament revenue, and exit fees paid to the conference from Missouri and Texas A&M. Each school, which officially will depart for the Southeastern Conference on July 1, had $12.41 million withheld from conference revenue.
