The Royals are in the market for a new mid-game anthem.

The team plans to hold a contest allowing fans to vote on a song to replace Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places,” a sixth-inning staple at Kauffman Stadium since 2008.

“We decided it was time to see if fans wanted to change the song,” said Toby Cook, the team’s vice president for community affairs and publicity.

Here is how the process will work, as explained by Cook:

The Royals will begin soliciting suggestions during the next few days via social media. By April, they will cull together 32 selections, and pit them together in a bracket-style voting. Brooks’ song could be re-nominated, Cook said.

The team will determine the winner on Saturday, June 7.
