Monday in the minors: Two extra-inning wins

Max Ramirez’s single in the 12th inning scored Chris Getz with the winning run as Class AAA Omaha beat New Orleans 2-1 on Monday night.
Getz opened the 12th with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Anthony Seratelli was intentionally walked, but Ramirez followed with the winning hit.
The Zephyrs managed just four hits in the game and struck out 19 times. Everett Teaford gave up two hits and one run in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out nine and walked one. Louis Coleman pitched 2 2/3 innings of hitless ball while striking out four, while Donnie Joseph gave up one hit in two innings and also struck out four.
Michael Mariot got the win after striking out two and giving up one hit in the 12th inning.
Ramirez had three hits.High-A Wilmington
Tyler Chism and Justin Tripp had RBI singles in the 11th inning as Wilmington beat Frederick 7-5.
The Blue Rocks nearly threw the game away as they jumped to a 4-0 lead after three innings. Jared Schlehuber’s two-run single was part of a three-run first for Wilmington, which added a run in the third on Lane Adams’ solo homer.
It was 5-1 after fifth when the Keys rallied and sent the game to extra innings.
Starter Kyle Smith gave up three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits, three runs (two earned), walked one and struck out five. Reliever Malcom Culver allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits in two innings.Class AA Northwest Arkansas
First baseman Matt Fields hit a two-run and added a double and an RBI, but the Naturals fell 7-4 to Frisco.
Fields had three hits and scored twice, while designated hitter Brian Fletcher had two hits and scored twice. Fields is riding an eight-game hitting streak, during which he is batting .429 with three homers, four doubles and nine RBIs.
However, Frisco scored three in the top of the first against Naturals starter Aaron Brooks and never trailed. Brooks gave up five runs on eight hits in five innings.Rookie advanced Idaho Falls
Luke Farrell allowed one run on three hits in six innings, but the Chukars lost 2-1 to Ogden.
Idaho Falls took the lead in the second inning when Cody Stubbs hit a leadoff triple, and scored on Frank Schwindel’s single.
Ogden got a run in the sixth to tie it, then scored a run against reliever Josiel Martinez in the seventh.Rookie Burlington
The Royals were swept by Greeneville, losing 7-0 and 8-1.
In the opener, Luis Santos allowed four runs on five hits in six innings, while reliever Ben Tomchick gave up three runs in one-third of an inning. Burlington had three hits in the game.
In the nightcap, Andres Machado gave up seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits in three innings.
Burlington got its run in the third inning when Alfredo Escalera-Maldonado and Ramon Torres hit consecutive one-out doubles.
After winning the first five games of the season, the Royals have lost seven straight.
