Twins-Royals series was highest-rated Royals series ever on FSKC

The Royals' three-game sweep of the Minnesota Twins, which pushed their record to 6-3 and made them winners of six of their last seven games, was the highest-rated Royals series ever on FOX Sports Kansas City, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The Twins-Royals series averaged a 6.9 household rating. Wednesday’s 3-0 win, played in chilly, wet weather, was the second-highest rated game all-time on FSKC, with a 7.3 household rating.

More facts from a Thursday afternoon news release from the Royals:

Wednesday’s telecast peaked at a 9.4/87,000 households in Kansas City from 9:30-9:45 p.m.

Monday’s game (6.1) was the highest-rated Royals home opener on FSKC. The Royals' TV ratings (5.0) are up 12 percent over the first nine games of 2012 (4.4) and up 32 percent versus the 2012 season average (3.8), which was the highest ever for Royals cable telecasts.
