It doesn’t matter what your feelings are for the World Baseball Classic.

Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?

Royals fans had to be thrilled to see Hosmer playing Sunday in a World Baseball Classic elimination game. Specifically, they must have liked seeing Hosmer come through in the clutch Sunday in a World Baseball Classic elimination game.

Canada was threatening to knock out the the U.S. team before the Americans rallied to take a 5-4 lead heading into the top of the ninth inning.

After tacking on a run, the United States was up 6-4 when Hosmer stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs. He promptly uncleared the bases with laser double into the left-center field gap.

It was a clutch at-bat, one that Royals fans hope will give Hosmer some confidence going forward.

Hosmer was clearly pumped up as he enthusiastically clapped his hands while standing on second base.

He was asked by reporters after the game what he was thinking while standing on second base.

“Words can't describe it,” Hosmer said. “It is hard to hold your emotions right there. It is just an unbelievable feeling and when you hear the crowd chant ‘USA' and the other crowd chanting ‘Canada,' it is an unbelievable experience.”
