FISHING REPORT

Missouri

TRUMAN: 56 to 59 degrees, stained, 9 feet high. Outlook: Rocky Top reports: hybrids good on Road Runners, jigging spoons along the dam and the weir; crappies good on jigs (many small ones being caught). Below the dam: catfish, hybrids good in the swift water; crappies good in the spillway and fair in the dead water.

STOCKTON: 58 degrees, clear to stained, 5 feet high. Outlook: Guide Bob Bennett reports: bass fair on jigs in 8 to 12 feet of water along standing timber; crappies good on jigs in 18 to 20 feet of water in brush piles; walleyes good on crankbaits in 8 to 15 feet of water off main-lake points (some fish are shallower early and late).

LAKE OF THE OZARKS: 66 degrees, main channel is murky, rest is clear, one-half foot low. Outlook: Gier’s Bass Pro reports: crappies good to excellent on minnows, jigs in 12 to 15 feet of water in the brush and along docks; black bass fair to good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits off the main channel; catfish fair on juglines, trotlines with cut bait, shad, perch.

BLUE SPRINGS: 54 degrees, clear, 1 foot high. Outlook: Forty Woods Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows off the marina docks.

SMITHVILLE: 55 degrees, clear, 1.7 feet high. Outlook: Burton’s Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows off the marina docks; white bass good on jigging spoons, jigs off windy points. A 9-pound, 12-ounce walleye was caught Tuesday.

TANEYCOMO: 50 degrees, clear, heavy power generation. Outlook: Lilley’s Landing reports: rainbow trout good on No. 10 scud flies on drift rigs in the Trophy Area and on worms, PowerBait below Fall Creek.

JAMES A. REED: 55 degrees, clear, full pool. Outlook: Missouri Department of Conservation reports: crappies good on jigs under bobbers over the brush.

BULL SHOALS: 68 degrees, clear, 22 feet high. Outlook: 125 Marina reports: white bass, smallmouth bass good to excellent, walleyes fair on CC Spoons in 40 feet of water in the brush.

JACOMO: 55 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Forty Woods Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows off the marina docks.

NORFORK: 62 degrees, stained, 18 feet high. Outlook: Bink’s reports: stripers, hybrids, bass, crappies good on jigs, spoons, minnows in the Corps of Engineers marked brush piles on the main lake and in the back of creeks.

LONGVIEW: 56 degrees, 24-inch clarity, one-half foot high. Outlook: Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows off the marina docks.

POMME DE TERRE: 58 degrees, stained, 7 feet high. Outlook: Nemo Landing reports: all species poor.

TABLE ROCK: 60 degrees, murky, 1.4 feet high. Outlook: White River Lodge reports: all species poor.

Kansas

LA CYGNE: 65 degrees, clear, 2 feet high. Outlook: Linn County Parks reports: white bass good on shad imitations at the hot-water outlet and on the flats on the west side; largemouth bass good on plastic baits lakewide; crappies very good early on jigs in the brush; channel catfish good on shad, liver lakewide.

•WILSON: 50 degrees, clear, 1 foot high. Outlook: Wildlife and Parks reports: walleyes fair to good on jigging spoons on the upper end and off main-lake points; stripers good on slab spoons, bucktail jigs off main-lake points and on the lower end; smallmouth, largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, jig and pig in the flooded vegetation when it’s sunny.
