My Miss Sophia returns in Lady's Secret at Monmouth Park

Oceanport, NJ ( - Kentucky Oaks runner-up by My Miss Sophia will get back into the starting gate Monday in Monmouth Park's $75,000 Lady's Secret Stakes going 1 1/16 miles.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, My Miss Sophia will start from post 7 in the eight- horse field of fillies and mares with Eddie Castro riding. This will be the 3-year-old's first start since the Acorn nearly two months ago.

My Miss Sophia, owned by Mathis Stable, was the 4-5 favorite in the Acorn at Belmont Park when she finished seventh after challenging for the lead in the mile stakes.

The filly began her career in February with a second at Gulfstream Park and broke her maiden the next month. She won the Gazelle Stakes on April 5 at Aqueduct leading to her second-place finish behind Untapable in the Oaks.

My Miss Sophia has banked $415,300 in five starts.

Here is the field for the Lady's Secret from the rail out: Lucky Rag Doll, Angel Serpa; Brenda's Way, Trevor McCarthy; Blue Violet, Jose Caraballo; Liberated, Orlando Bocachica; Rebecca's Surprise, C.C. Lopez; Oasis At Midnight, no jockey; My Miss Sophia, Eddie Castro and Mine Own, Ramon Moya.
