NFL suspends Chiefs guard Rokevious Watkins four games for substance abuse

The NFL announced Thursday that Chiefs backup guard Rokevious Watkins has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2014 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. He can participate in training camp and preseason games and will be eligible to return to the Chiefs’ active roster on Tuesday, Sept. 30, following the team’s Monday night game against New England.
