San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Kansas City Royals reinstated outfielder Lorenzo Cain from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.

Cain missed the last 17 games because of a strained groin muscle.

He's hitting .333 with five RBI over 12 games this season.

To make room for Cain on the roster, Kansas City optioned utility man Jimmy Paredes to Triple-A Omaha.
