The Chiefs signed veteran guard Mike McGlynn on Wednesday and released rookie offensive lineman Ben Gottschalk.

McGlynn, a six-year veteran, was released by Washington earlier in the week.

McGlynn has made 48 starts in five seasons. He was a fourth-round pick by Philadelphia in 2008 and played three years for the Eagles under Andy Reid, when he coached there.
