Lynx send Rodgers to Liberty

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Lynx executed a sign-and- trade deal that sent guard Sugar Rodgers to the New York Liberty in exchange for the right to swap third-round picks in the 2015 WNBA Draft.
Rodgers was selected by the Lynx in the second round of the 2013 WNBA Draft. She played in 28 games during her rookie campaign, averaging 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds while shooting 31.3 percent from three-point range.
The Lynx will start defending their 2013 title on the road at Washington on Friday, May 16.
