Actor Jesse Metcalfe, best known as the teen love interest of Eva Longoria’s character on “Desperate Housewives,” will serve as grand marshal on Oct. 16 for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Metcalfe also had a role on “Passions,” a since-canceled soap opera, and played the lead in the 2006 film “John Tucker Must Die.”
He currently stars as a retired country singer with a sordid past in “Chesapeake Shores” on the Hallmark Channel. Metcalfe has written and performed songs for the show.
Fans also can purchase tickets for the other two races that weekend, the ARCA Racing season finale at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 and the NASCAR Xfinity Series Kansas Lottery 300 at 3 p.m. on Oct. 15.
