No. 4 Missouri took the field for only the third time as a ranked team at Nebraska since the Cornhuskers began their 15-game winning streak against the Tigers in Lincoln. In 1980, MU came in ranked No. 15 and lost 38-16. In 1998 MU was ranked No. 19 when it lost at Nebraska 20-13. Nebraska hasn’t been ranked when playing host to Missouri since 1998. An unranked Nebraska team has never beaten a ranked Missouri team.

Baston — a 300-pound junior nose guard — won the honor for most improved defensive lineman in the spring.
