It took less than five minutes Friday after tickets went on sale for the U.S. men’s national team’s World Cup qualifier against Jamaica to sell out.
The match, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Sporting Park, will be televised on ESPN and UniMas.
Most of the tickets had been snapped up in special advance sales for the U.S. Soccer Supporters Club and Sporting KC season-ticket members, but the remaining few made available to the general public didn’t last long.
A limited number of Ultimate Fan Tickets — which include premium seating, a custom U.S. men’s national team jersey and VIP access to the field before and after the game — remain available through ussoccer.com.
Defender Matt Besler and midfielder Graham Zusi were called up Thursday for two upcoming qualifiers Sept. 6 at Costa Rica and Sept. 10 against Mexico in Columbus, Ohio.
The U.S. men, who are riding a record 12-game win streak, sit in first place in the six-team final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
