Sporting Kansas City is making a goalkeeper change.
For the first time this season, Tim Melia was in the starting lineup Sunday, when Sporting KC faced the Chicago Fire.
Melia, 28, replaced Luis Marin, who had allowed six goals over the last two matches. Marin gave up four goals in a 4-4 draw with the Houston Dynamo last week without making a save.
Melia has started five matches over six seasons in MLS — the last one coming on May 3, 2014 as a member of Chivas USA. He is 0-4-1 over those five starts.
▪ In other pre-match news Sunday, defender Seth Sinovic is in the lineup for the first time since April 5. He has missed the past three matches with a groin injury.
