FC Kansas City announced on Wednesday that it had signed four of its picks from the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft.
The latest group of signees includes second-round picks Morgan Marlborough and Jenna Richmond, third-round pick Frances Silva and fourth-round selection Maegan Kelly. The four follow first-rounder Kassey Kallman, who signed in February.
Marlbrough, a Lee’s Summit North High School graduate, began her career at Nebraska, but graduated from Santa Clara University. She has already been making an impact in exhibition play with two goals and an assist against the University of Missouri.
Richmond grew up in Centreville, Va., and attended UCLA. She was a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team that won the U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Japan.
Silva, a Blue Valley North graduate, led West Virginia to the Big 12 tournament title and recorded 15 goals and 13 assists last season.
Kelly, who attended St.Teresa’s Academy, led Marquette with 10 goals and eight assists last season. She is the all-time assists leader at Marquette with 33.
Per team and league policy, the agreements were not disclosed.
