FC Kansas City forward Erika Tymrak has been voted the National Women’s Soccer League Player of the Week by the media for Week 15 of the current season.

Tymrak, 21, had a goal and assist for FC Kansas City in a 2-0 victory over Seattle Reign FC on Saturday’s match at Verizon Wireless Field at Shawnee Mission North District Stadium.

Tymrak set up Lauren Holiday for a goal in the 39th minute to give FC Kansas City a 1-0 lead. In the 86th minute, she eluded three defenders before connecting on a low, curling shot past Seattle goalkeeper Hope Solo from the edge of the box.

It was Tymrak’s sixth goal of the season and fourth in the last six games.

The NWSL Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a selection of journalists who cover the league.
