That’s the slogan for the Kansas City Royals in 2014 and will be seen throughout the season in advertisements, online banners and in social media.
Although the Royals are coming off their best season in more than two decades, the team didn’t go bold, as it did in 2012 with “Our Time.” That year, the Royals essentially promised results and finished 72-90.
It came back with “Come to Play” in 2013. The Royals remained in the playoff chase until the final week of the season and finished with an 86-76 record.
“Last season, the Royals came to play,” Michael Bucek, Royals vice president of marketing and business development, said in a statement. “As a team and a community, we proved to ourselves that we have what it takes to live up to the name on the front our jerseys.”
