Hosmer is Royals’ nominee for Hank Aaron Award

First baseman Eric Hosmer, who rallied after a slow start, is the Royals’ nominee for the Hank Aaron Award, which recognizes the top offensive player in each league. Hosmer, 23, led the Royals with a .302 average, ranked second with 17 homers and tied for third with 79 RBIs. He also led the American League with 60 multi-hit games.
