Shields, bullpen lead surging Royals past Red Sox 4-3

Not even the beasts from the American League East can cool off these Royals, who won their seventh consecutive series with a 4-3 win Sunday against the division-leading Red Sox. Kansas City pounced on Boston starter John Lackey early, building a 4-1 lead through three innings. Kansas City starter James Shields and the bullpen made sure it stood up as the Royals won three of four from the Red Sox.
