Gordon’s homer lifts Royals to 4-2 win over White Sox in 12 innings

A slump-ridden Alex Gordon hammered a two-run homer in the 12th inning Sunday afternoon that provided the winning margin in a 4-2 victory that completed a three-game sweep over the Chicago White Sox. The victory also pulled the Royals, 51-51, back to .500 for the first time since June 17.
