KU coach Bill Self said again Monday that Jayhawks freshman center Joel Embiid hasn’t decided to enter the NBA Draft, contrary to a Yahoo Sports report last week. “I think Joel is gathering information, but not information on where he’ll be picked because he’s going to go high,” Self said. “The decision he needs to make is, what’s best for him over time, whether to stay another year or to go.”

KU football receiver Mark Thomas suspended indefinitely

A Kansas football player has been suspended indefinitely from the program as police investigated an allegation of aggravated sexual battery. Mark Thomas, a junior receiver, was held Sunday in Douglas County jail before being released Monday. No charges have been filed in the case, but it remains under investigation, according to the Douglas County District Attorney’s office.
