For the past five weeks, the Grandview boys have been the hottest team in the city. The Bulldogs, 19-5, have won 12 straight — a run that began with the return of senior power forward Loomis Gerring. But the maestro for Grandview’s pressure defense is senior guard Chris Spotser. And with senior scorer Khalil Davis and standout sophomores Tyrone Taylor and Nelson Nweke rounding out the rotation, Grandview has its most complete team since current Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks led the Bulldogs to the Class 5 state-title game in 2009.
