William Chrisman has selected Scorpio Horn to be its next head football coach, the school announced in a release.
It's the first head coaching gig for Horn, who has spent the past four seasons as the defensive coordinator for Park Hill South. Horn served as a defensive line coach for William Chrisman in 2008.
He replaces John Crutcher, who resigned after his fourth season. The Bears finished 1-9 last fall.
"I'm so excited to get to take these athletes to the next level," Horn said. "It will be a challenging but thrilling process to get to where we want to go. This football program has so much potential, and I believe in these students. I feel my enthusiasm and the athletes' attitudes will make a great combination."
Horn, the brother of former Chiefs wideout Joe Horn, played at Blue Springs High School before continuing his career at Missouri Western, where he was twice an academic All-American.
