On Tuesday night, Randy Dreiling met with parents from St. Thomas Aquinas for the first time to discuss his vision for the football program, which he took over last Friday.
Dreling, who won seven state titles in 17 years at Hutchinson High School, spoke for about 30 minutes which included questions and answers and a short highlight video from his time with the Salthawks.
He plans to institute a triple option offense which will be similar to what he used at Hutchinson. He also plans to use different starters on offense and defense.
One of the big topics was the facilities, like the weight room and locker rooms. He said he is in discussions with St. Thomas Aquinas president Dr. William Ford about upgrading facilities.
Dreiling has not formed his coaching staff yet. However, he said that he has already had more than 20 coaches contact him about staff openings.
