The Kansas high school wrestling season ends this weekend. State championship meets begin Friday, with final bouts scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Classes 6A and 5A will compete at Hartman Arena in Park City, Class 4A at Salina’s Tony’s Pizza Events Center and Classes 3-1A at Fort Hays State.
Here’s a look at the local returning state champions in all divisions.
Cordel Duhart, Blue Valley Southwest senior: In the last two seasons, Duhart has lost one match. This year, he’s 34-0 and looking to repeat as the 220-pound champion in Class 5A.
Nick Jouret, Olathe South senior: After finishing runner-up at the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic, Jouret went on to win the Sunflower League title at 182 and put together a 39-3 season. He won Class 6A at 170 last year.

Terrell Garraway, Olathe North senior: Garraway won the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic, placed third at the KC Stampede and secured a fourth consecutive Sunflower League crown. Like his teammate, he seeks a second state title, competing at 170 with a 35-2 record.
Preston Martin, Paola, sophomore: Martin won the Class 4A 106-pound title as a freshman. He will compete at 113, entering with a 38-2 record.
Bret Minor, St. Thomas Aquinas junior: Now wrestling at 120, Minor is a two-time Eastern Kansas League champion with a 25-4 mark. He won last year’s Class 5A title at 113.
Jevon Parrish, Olathe North senior: The three-time Sunflower League champion enters seeking a second consecutive state title. Competing in the 138 weight class, Parrish is 48-2 and the top seed in his bracket.
Caleb Willis, Bonner Springs junior: The top seed in the Class 4A 220-pound division, Willis is 36-1. He won the heavyweight title last year.
