The Midwest Transplant Network helped her through the process of donation when Eric died of a ruptured brain aneurysm earlier this year.
Former Sac-Joaquin Section Masters champion Claire Seymour ran her final Modesto Metro Conference relay race in Crocs after Twitter called her bluff. It wasn’t all sunshine and giggles for Seymour, who woke up with shin pain the next day.
Year after year, schools told Tilicia Robertson of Kansas City that her son, Jordan Huff, was mentally retarded and would never be able to read or write. She didn't believe that and taught Jordan in her home while working full time. Huff was later diagnosed with autism. He is graduating from Hogan Prep and has a college scholarship to attend MidAmerica Nazarene this fall.
Bishop Miege forward and University of Virginia signee Francesco Badocchi started playing piano in Italy when he was 5 years old. On his visit to Virginia he took the bench of the piano in an auditorium. He's toured Europe, continues to take lessons and hopes to be involved in the music program at UVA.

Deep tire tracks remain where a semi trailer trailer crossed over the median of Interstate 29 on Wednesday night, striking the car of West Platte High School coach Nate Danneman. Danneman died at the scene.
