Chiefs resume offseason practices

The Chiefs returned to the practice field and resumed their voluntary offseason program on Tuesday morning. They’ll work three days this week, four days next week and conduct a mandatory minicamp during June 4-6 before adjourning until training camp opens in late July in St. Joseph.

Kansas State corrals Big 12 baseball awards, tournament postponed a day

Big 12 baseball champion Kansas State took home top individuals honors by the conference on Tuesday, led by player of the year Ross Kivett. The Big 12 also announced that it was moving the start of its tournament in Oklahoma City, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, to Thursday because of Monday’s tornado disaster in nearby Moore.
