Chiefs make good picks for a bad team

    < Previous page

My point is the Chiefs have made all the right moves this offseason, including dealing Allen for picks. The Artist Formerly Known as King Carl had a great day on Saturday. But the reality is things are going to get worse before they get better. The Chiefs are not getting better right now. They’re simply getting younger.

They’re going to make a run at 0-16. I hope I’m as wrong about this prediction as my 16-0 prediction a decade ago. I just don’t see how the Chiefs stop anybody next season. We already know they can’t score.

Quarterbacks, pass-rushers and wide receivers are the superhighway to victories. Linemen are the foundation consistent winning is built on. Cornerbacks have been devalued by NFL rules that allow receivers to play flag football.

The Chiefs wisely jumped off the superhighway and decided to fix their infrastructure. Dorsey, Albert and Flowers will help the Chiefs win games in 2010. Well, as long as they’re not victims of the King Carl Curse.
