Junior Kiana Law scored 15 of her game-high 19 points in the first half, leading UMKC’s women’s basketball team to a 111-43 victory over Central Christian on Tuesday night at Swinney Recreation Center.
All 14 players scored for the Kangaroos, 3-3. UMKC led for more than 39 of the 40 minutes in the game.
Kristen Moore scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Kangaroos, India Johnson, who went to Shawnee Mission North, had 13 points and Paige Husa added 10 points.
UMKC shot 51.1 percent from the field, and outscored the Tigers 70-10 in the paint. The Kangaroos outrebounded Central Christian 59-20, including 27-5 on the offensive glass. UMKC also forced 27 turnovers, leading to 38 points.
The Kangaroos led 34-5 after the first quarter and 61-18 at halftime.
Piper Kalthoff scored 19 points for Central Christian, 4-5, which is located in McPherson, Kan.
