Missouri introduced Derek Dooley, its new offensive coordinator, on Friday and he plans to tweak the Tigers’ offense a bit from Josh Heupel’s air raid-spread hybrid.

Mizzou turns to NFL for next offensive coordinator, QB coach

Missouri has hired Derek Dooley to be its new offensive coordinator. Dooley, who will also serve as Mizzou’s quarterbacks coach, was the Dallas Cowboys wide receivers coach the past five seasons. He was head coach at Tennessee for three seasons, from 2010-12. Missouri’s offense, which averaged the 15th-most points in the country this season, could return as many as nine starters, including QB Drew Lock.

Salaries for two new Mizzou football assistants announced

Two of Missouri’s newest football coaches got raises from their old jobs. Inside linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves and offensive line coach Brad Davis both received two-year contracts from Mizzou, which will expire in February 2020. Hargreaves agreed to a base salary of $335,000 while Davis’ is $400,000. Neither contract has been finalized.
