Missouri football, which opens training camp Aug. 1, will kick off its season against Missouri State at 11 a.m. Sept. 2 at Memorial Stadium.
That was one of two kickoff times announced Tuesday by the SEC and Mizzou for early-season games.
The Tigers’ third game of the season — Sept. 16 against Purdue at Memorial Stadium — was selected for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
Both games will be televised on the SEC Network.
Game times for two other MU games — the conference opener Sept. 9 against South Carolina at Memorial Stadium (6 p.m., ESPN2) and the regular-season finale Nov. 24 against Arkansas at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Ark. (1:30 p.m., CBS) — had previously been announced.
All remaining kickoff times and broadcast information will be determined roughly two weeks in advance of the scheduled game, including the Sept. 23 game against Auburn that completes a run of four straight home games to open the 2017 season.
Half of Mizzou’s 20 preseason practices will be open to the media for approximately 30-45 minutes during stretching and position drills. The rest of practice and camp scrimmages will be closed to reporters.
