Missouri junior guard Jabari Brown was chosen to the preseason all-Southeastern Conference first team as voted on by the league’s basketball coaches.

Brown was previously chosen as an all-SEC second-team player in the preseason media poll. MU senior guard Earnest Ross was chosen to the coaches’ second team.

Alabama senior guard Trevor Releford, a Bishop Miege grad, made the coaches’ first team and Kentucky sophomore forward Willie Cauley-Stein, an Olathe Northwest grad, made the second team.

The coaches did not vote on a predicted order of finish and each team consisted of eight players. The media chose the Tigers to finish fifth.
