Friday night was supposed to be about moving on. Kansas’ players were supposed to have learned from last year’s season-ending loss to Northern Iowa. Instead, the Jayhawks’ 72-53 victory over Boston University revealed something else entirely. It wasn’t that Kansas didn’t bring the right attitude to the BOK Center. It was more that, in this beast of a tournament, a team that thinks it is mentally ready can’t truly know that’s the case until the ball is tipped.
