KU’s Perry Ellis is Big 12 co-player of the week

Kansas sophomore Perry Ellis earned his second Big 12 player of the week honor on Monday, sharing the award with Baylor sophomore Isaiah Austin.

Ellis averaged 25.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games. The Jayhawks lost in overtime at Kansas State before bouncing back with a 95-65 victory over TCU on Saturday.

He finished with a career-high 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists against TCU. Ellis is averaging 14.0 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting 55 percent this season.
