Dylan Admire, a Kansas offensive lineman and former Blue Valley West standout, left the KU football program on Friday, KU coach Charlie Weis announced in a news release.

Admire, who had two seasons of eligibility remaining, will remain in school at Kansas and is on track to graduate in December, Weis said.

“I fully support Dylan’s decision,” Weis said. “He has been a model student-athlete and we wish him all the best.”

Admire, an Overland Park native, played in 16 games during the last two seasons. He is also a former member of the academic All-Big 12 first team.

“I am very proud of my time with the Kansas football program,” Admire said, adding: “I look forward to supporting my teammates in Memorial Stadium this fall.”
