Kansas State forward Nino Williams and Kansas freshman Cliff Alexander were Big 12 weekly award winners.
Williams averaged 21 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games, a loss at Iowa State and a victory over Oklahoma State. He shot 69.2 percent with four assists and two steals in the two games and it’s the second time Williams has been named player of the week.
Williams shared the honor with Baylor’s Rico Gathers, who set a league-record with 28 rebounds in victory over Huston-Tillotson.
Alexander averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Jayhawks’ victories over Oklahoma and Texas, recording double-doubles in both games and was named Big 12 newcomer of the week.
