On top of breaking single-game records, Tyler Lockett joined elite company Saturday. His big game put him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. He now has 1,103 receiving yards as a junior, making him the sixth receiver in K-State history to top 1,000 yards in a season. The last player to reach 1,000 yards was Brandon Banks in 2008.
Lockett shattered school records in receiving yards (278), return yards (162), all-purpose yards (440), and tying the record for touchdown catches (three).
• Jack Cantele was on the sideline for Saturday’s game, but he did not play. Ian Patterson handled kickoff and field-goal duties. Snyder wouldn’t comment on Cantele’s absence, but he has been battling injuries all year.
• K-State played in front of its eighth sellout crowd at home on Saturday. Its season attendance total is 423,095, a record.
• Bob Stoops is now the winningest coach in Oklahoma history with 158 victories. He passed Barry Switzer.
