Kansas State continued its perfect start at Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday, but it’ll need an historic start to remain undefeated come Sunday.

Junior center Breanna Lewis had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Wildcats to a 62-49 victory over UT Arlington in their final tuneup before facing top-ranked Connecticut.

K-State will host the four-time defending NCAA champion Huskies at 1 p.m. Sunday in its first nationally-televised game of the year on Fox Sports 1. UConn won its 83rd consecutive game on Wednesday, beating No. 2 Notre Dame 72-61.

The Wildcats (9-0) never trailed against Arlington, but they only led by five points after three quarters thanks in part to committing 26 turnovers.

Sophomore guard Kayla Goth added 12 points and senior guard Kindred Wesemann had 10 for the Wildcats.

Junior center Rebekah VanDijk led the Mavericks (5-2) with 14 points and nine rebounds. Freshman guard Aysia Evans added 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting.
